a website that feels like home.
Consistently recognized for quality and value, Elderwood is a leading provider of care for seniors across the Northeast region. They define themselves as people caring for people and wanted a website that reflected this, which we were more than happy to assist with.
starting with the foundation.
The goal was to emphasize Elderwood as a trusted advisor in healthcare and rehabilitation facilities. We started with a complete analysis of their current website, by outlining a digital style guide. This included a palette to determine the ideal mood/tone of the website, utilizing their “Elderwood Teal” and “Elderwood Blue” and a new set of fonts and styles.
Once the client determined a color scheme, we devised a sitemap, dictating the pages, paths, URLs and/or routes setup within the website platform and code. We supplied the final content that was implemented into the website content, markup and database. Lastly, we created comps to supply the final image assets and UI/UX style rules for the site markup and code. And just like that, creative efforts were approved and it was time for the next phase of the refresh.
home is where the heart is.
Then it was time for the rebuild. The HTML markup, CSS, JavaScript & server scripting code was developed to render the website user experience in the browser. We created the best user experience keeping in mind the website’s digital and mobile capabilities, configuring integrated APIs and use of interactive elements that kept the users engaged in all that Elderwood has to offer. We know how difficult it can be to choose a facility to live in. Whether you are caring for an elderly parent or looking for the right place to call home, we wanted to easily provide answers and reassurance. To help with this, our dev team included features such as a location finder tool, updated forms to schedule a tour or contact a facility, and geo-location added to the “Find a location” to show the Elderwood facility closest to you.
Additionally, we built a custom Content Management System to power the elderwood.com website as well as the back-office web-based toolset. This provided the flexibility to handle evolving needs within the business use cases and future digital marketing activities.
results.
After about 6 months, the CMS was officially built. The result? A more organized and on-brand website that users could feel confident using. Since the launch in February of 2021, pageviews went up 11.07%, average session duration went up 33.22%, and bounce rate decreased by 7.00%. Returning users also increased, making the website relaunch nothing short of a success!
