In 1882 Breakstone’s first opened their store selling expertly crafted dairy products. 140 years later, Breakstone’s still serves premium creamy, and delicious cottage cheese and sour cream products. When we were approached to bring their new branding to life on the web to reflect their high-quality dairy, we were more than excited to partner with Breakstone’s to achieve their goals of a fresh new website design.

In this project, we collaborated with our client and their branding agency to align with the updated Brand Style Guide and leveraged assets created as part of the rebranding effort – adapting where necessary to create an optimal digital design and user experience. We created a sitemap document that outlined the overall structure of the website as well as intended user journeys and provided the client with full comps of the website design from the home page to interior detail pages.

We had a short project timeline to work in as we had to launch in tandem with the new look on Breakstone’s physical product packaging that would be on shelves in 6 weeks. After we finalized the creative and produced website comps of the proposed design, we started to develop the overall website. We continued to work with the client and their creative agency to complete the website redesign and produced a working website utilizing the sitemap, digital style guide, wireframes, and assets established in the prior phases.

Comparing the website 3 months before and after launch, we saw a huge improvement in engagement on the site with increases in average time on page, users, and sessions.
